Protocol for extracting DNA from saliva samples

I tried isolating DNA from saliva sample using the following method.I got DNA but i had problem in dissolving the DNA.If anyone knows a better method for dissolving the sample, Please let me know.Thank you

1.Take 10ml of water and swirl it in the mouth for 1min.
2.Add 1ml of 8% NaOH to the mouthwash sample.
3.Mix well.Add 5 to 10 ml of 100% ethanol.Keep it undisturbed for 5 min.
4.Using a micro tip, remove the DNA spool.
5. Wash it with 70% ethanol 2 times.
6.Dissolve the pellet in 200 microliter of 1X TE buffer.
